- Original oil paintings by Gerdus Bronn
Once on the island of Mauritius there was a boy named Santaka . He was a milkman. One day when he was walking to a house it started to rain. So he took shelter behind a rock. He eventually fell asleep.
He woke up to a singing sound. He opened his eyes to find fairies singing and dancing. The leader of the fairies said "you are the special one to see us you shall not tell anyone about this or you will be turned to stone ". But Santaka didn't listen to the fairy and the next day he went to the top of a mountain named Peter Both and told every one about what he saw and at that instant he turned to stone.
It is said that if you look from a far distance at the mountain you will see a big rock which is Santakas head. So the moral of the story is to keep your promise.
In Mauritius we will hand deliver the painting. and hang it for you
