The group of German tourist just came from the large boat docked at the harbour. They get to spend 3 days in Port Louise and the Caudan waterfront is a popular destination due to its affordable food court and many shops. I depiocted the humidity and curiosness of the young girl on the left. She desperately wanted some refreshments from the Juice bar but the parents were in no mood for that. Notice the fine stonework on the right typical of the lava rocks in which many buildings were built in the past.
Walking on Umbrellas street near Marina in Port Louis in a summer afternoon, Mauritius. Port Louis is the capital city of Mauritius, located on the west side of the island. The Waterfront area has a lot of interesting stuff for tourists - a variety of restaurants, a good promenade with plenty of seating, museums and shops. Here, where the brightly coloured umbrellas shade the street, one can find lots of shops and the craft market for gifts to take home. When it is hot one can buy a cool drink from the juice bars at the street. There are some good coffee places too. The views over the harbour are worth lingering over. One has to be quick to find a free bench as the area is very popular among the locals.
This painting was epic and took me almost 4 days to complete, You will love it when you see it. It is well done and has great balance and color.
